Audio stuttering on Retevis RT3S

I am having an issue with my Retevis RT3S (tyt CPU) where if I am scanning and I land on an active static talkgroup from my hotspot, the audio stutters - indefinitely, even when the person transmitting changes. But If don't scan and just tune radio to static talkgroup, it works fine. Easiest to reproduce with TG 93 on brandmesiter.
I tried latest firmware from April 12th - it didn't change. Has anyone else seen anything like this? Thanks!
