Re: Alpha testers wanted for TYT MD2017 and Retevis RT-82
Thanks Speaker clicks when playing beeps etc are also in the official firmware, so this appears to be a fault in the electronics design of this radio. I will investigate whether there is anything I can do in the firmware to reduce them, perhaps using the same method of "click suppression" which I u...

Re: Alpha testers wanted for TYT MD2017 and Retevis RT-82
The only bugs I currently know about are 1. Problem with terrible audio quality on a Non-GPS radio. This problem may not be related to whether the radio is Non-GPS. Please let me know if you installed on a Non-GPS version 2. Speaker clicks 3. Loose battery connection caused radio to hang 4. Orange ...

Re: Some hotspot woes... Bad intelligibility
Actually get a longer support tube from a hardware store and also buy some plastic cable ties, you can then use the cable ties to hold the support tube to the corner of the balcony railing. I'm cursed with neighbours and an HOA that are particularly sensitive to "the aesthetics and uniform appearan...

Re: Some hotspot woes... Bad intelligibility
OK, it seems the problem is solved. I changed the hotspot frequency just before the problems started appearing, namely to 430.400 MHz as one of the recomended frequencies for hotspots in Spain as per this page: https://ea1uro.com/radio/dmrsimplex/ Although I checked, with both analog and digital rad...

Re: Alpha testers wanted for TYT MD2017 and Retevis RT-82
I have a TYT MD2017 which I put to no use. The trackball thingy drives me mad, and the CPS is a pain. So, I'm willing and ready to test on it, and won't mind the (slim, I know you do quality stuff here) chance of total brick of my radio. I'll also try and use it in OpenGD77 Hotspot mode, as my RT-84...

Re: Some hotspot woes... Bad intelligibility
OK, thanks for all the great help so far... Here is a video I've made, where you can get an accurate idea of how it sounds: 9hhBGwl7R2E For good measure, I am attaching my MMDVM config. Maybe I have overseen something there: [General] Callsign=EA7KLK Id=2140410 Timeout=240 Duplex=0 RFModeHang=300 Ne...
