Updated CPS 2023 08 09

Post by VK3KYY » Wed Aug 09, 2023 11:27 am

A updated CPS version is now available

downloads/CPS/Latest/OpenGD77CPSInstall ... .09.01.exe

This version has a new section called APRS for the APRS configuations, which can be assigned to FM channels

Note.
I've been told that blind users may have problems using the APRS functionality, becuase a list of APRS configuations is not available

I will work on creating a list screen for the APRS configuations soon

Also the CSV import and export function has not been updated to include the APRS configuations

I have found some bugs in the APRS Tx SSID the value has 1 subtracted from it when its transmitted

Also the CPS seems to keep setting the SSID to 7 for some values

I need to find and fix these bugs

greetings,

i recently attempted to flash the latest firmware and this cps on the dm-1701. the new firmware removes the boot tune regardless of what is programmed.

It by no means is a functionality breaker, but does aid this visually impaired to know when its ok to press keys after power on and setting a volume level.

thank you to the devs for their hard work.

Hi,

Maybe it will worth to read the firmware thread.
The boot image/melody is known as broken, Roger mentioned that again this morning.

Next release will have the fix.

Cheers.

Perhaps you could offer a touch of understanding- snarks towards a people with a print disability isn't necessary. Reading isn't the easiest or most efficient thing I can do.

Maybe people can
- post in the correct thread, this one is about CPS
- read the thread about the Beta version they flashed, that would reduce the number of useless posts (we already got multiple post about the same issue, even if we replied)
- search before posting, you can't even how boring it could be to see the same question over and over.
- aren't we Ham, grown man used to search information by themselves?

Cheers.

Hello, I noticed that when you select the boot option to have a password, you can enjoy your custom boot sound and screen ;) Maybe it helps.
Sorry, forgot to mention: I use a Retevis RT3S, an anytone-like theme, the sound and logo are the Imperial March/Darth Vader logo (easy to be found at the corresponding threads) 73 de Giani
