Testing OpenMDUV380_Fix_2
There is no sound loss, as in New Beta 2024 04 12. I checked in Eco 0, 1, 4.
Let me remind you - in New Beta 2024 04 12, the radio station with CPU STM in Eco 1 stopped playing sound completely after 1-2 minutes. Including the sound of pressing buttons.

Hello Brothers of the OpenGD77, am I correct to assume that when I get my TYT UV 390 Plus and I actually confirm it is 5w by looking at the sticker, I'd download this New Beta version as the latest and finest version hitherto?

Thanks.

So I pulled the pin and ordered a DM-1701B from China, which firmware file would be the one to use for that unit, OpenDM1701 or OpenRT84, I can see that the DM-1701B is referred to as “aka Retevis RT-84” in another thread..

The Chinese Hams say the firmware works ok with the 1701B

Yeah, one of the reviews on the website has a photo of it running the OpenGD77 firmware and they say it works well. I’m just curious which one to use, the RT-84 or the DM-1701 version.

I saw a VK codeplug listed for the RT3S, is that compatible across the GD77 firmwares or does one need a codeplug specific to the radio?

Here’s the photo, looks like it was running an older version than the one in this thread.

The only difference between DM-1701 and RT-84 is the used screen height, as the DM-1701 top lines aren't visible because of the plastic screen black paint.

About the codeplug, it's universal across all the platforms.

Cheers.

Except the cropped Yes/No, anything else ? (some explanations would be a little better).

It's strange that the screen is cropped at the bottom

None of the RT84 users reported that problem

What's also strange is the gap at the top of the screen.

Have they loaded the DM1701 instead of the RT84 Version?

I think we may need to add the version name to the firmware info screen
