Hi All,

I have tried the Simplex frequency and still hear nothing. I have tried the frequency of the DMR and FM of the repeater on another radio and am able to hear.

The repeaters I am trying to connect are GB7LO and GB7OK in UK. I live in Croydon.

Thanks,
Ram

Hi,

Better to share your codeplug, as no channel details are available here, except the color code.
Also, I see it's a multi-protocol, and your RSSI bar shows some level. Are you sure that it's not currently "heavily" used in any other mode (D-Star/etc) ? As, such repeater will switch to other mode once the current one has became silent for a while, it can't do everything at once.

Cheers.

Hi Daniel,

Don't know what the traffic for the other modes is on the repeater. As I have mentioned the radio displays timeout 1 second after I press the PTT.
I have not been able to use the Echo/ Parrot to even test the raio till now.
I have attached the current code plug I am using.

Thanks,
Ram

I presume that you have changed to codeplug so that it uses your call and dmr id ?
And that you have increased the power to maximum ( 5 W )

GB7OK doesn't seems to connected to any DMR network so it may be local TGs only, It also seems to be D-STAR and Fusion registered.
Maybe they only use the latter modes now ?

GB7LO seems to connected to DMR+

If they had been Brandmeister connected it would have been easier to verify their activity.

Hi SA0BUX,

I have added my call sign and my DMR ID to the code plug. I have left the power at master level.

What I can't figure out is why the radio is not receiving any audio. I was able to transmit and receive FM.

Thanks,
Ram

Have you tried listening on FM on the repeater output frequencies ( 439.5125 or 145.7125 ) for some some hours ?
( you can use the VFOs and even activate A/B dual watch )

You should be able to hear digital data and maybe some CW id now and then if they are audible at your QTH.

I will try listening to FM on the frequencies of the repeaters and see if I can pick up anything.

Thanks,

Hi,

Beware, listening D-Star in FM mode is pretty tricky, it hard to hear it in the noise.

Cheers.

Okay, checking your codeplug, there are 2 errors I found:
- not critical: there is no contact or tg list set on the BECKENHAM 7OK channel
- super critical: you have set your DMR Id to '1', and this is wrong.

Cheers.

what i can confirm is the reported problem is caused by your code plug. it does not present an issue with my code plug on the same radio.

I would at a minimum, create a new code plug, enter your DMR id and call, and enter one repeater in- the one in question you are trying to hit. enter one zone, and one talk group- parrot. dont enter any addition information. one and only one frequency.

is suspect your issue with go away.
