Much of hits I find with Google about the repeaters are quite old and the pages have links that doesnt work.

But it seems that it's only GB7LO that has DMR.

Maybe you could try contact G1HIG that seems to be the repeater sysop ?

Hi All,

I have made the recommended changes to the codeplug but there is no change, the radio still times out.
I have attached the codeplug to this post. Can someone make the changes to the codeplug and upload?
I have also attached the channel list of the repeater GB7LO that I have got from radioid.net.

Appreciate all your help guys.

Thanks,
Ram

You should not enter the repeater ID in the channel's ID field: either your own ID or simply leave it empty for the master ID set by the ID dialogue.

Hi ,

I have tried it without out adding the repeater id in the field you have mentioned but it still times out.
I will try on a Windows 10 machine tomorrow and update if that helped.

Thanks,
Ram

If you use your callsign and your Radio ID in the default setup in the top of the config tree in the CPS there is no need to enter a DMR ID per
channel, it is only if you want to override the default Radio ID (DMR ID)

I think the real question is if the repeater near you has decent coverage in your area and if its still online.

If I was in London and not in Stockholm I would really try to solve this but it's not easy to do it remote as we have several unknown variables.

GB7LO is showing as being connected to the network and active so it is definitely turned on. The IPSC status page for the server is here.
http://phoenix-k.opendmr.net/ipsc/
You could look at that to see if the repeater is hearing you.

However I have no idea what the coverage is like. It may be very local to the repeater. With the difficulty of finding suitable sites some repeaters are on the keepers houses, and often not in the best of locations.

I am the other side of London and I don't think I have ever heard it.

It might also be worth trying GB7NS. Whilst that is not as close to you it does have a very good coverage.

You could also do a VFO frequency scan of the 2m and then the 70cm bands , for an hour or more and see what you can hear.

I friend of mine had a similar problem, with a local repeeater, only to find that the PA on the repeater had a fault, and was only transmitting a few hundred milliwatts. i.e the repeater shows up on the dashboard and for very local users it worked OK, but anyone further away than a few km could not use it.

Hi All,

Programmed a new code plug with the repeater Colin suggested GB7NS. Now the radio does not time out when I press the PTT . When I transmit on Parrot/Echo. The LED lights up after a few seconds but there is no audio.
It's the same with the simplex channels the LED lights up but there is no audio. I turned off the filters for the DMR. But no audio in any of the channels.

Thanks,
Ram

Hi,

In DMR mode, the green LED lights up on RF activity, but it could be any mode (FM/C4FM/D-Star/Whatever), hence you won't hear anything.

Cheers.
