Re: Battery eliminator
They are difficult to find.
I found a local company in Australia who had a few in stock, so I bought 2 of them
https://qslcomms.com.au/shop/ols/produc ... eliminator
However, they don't export them.
I checked eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, Bangood etc and none are available

Re: Battery eliminator
What makes you think that? You can't put MD-380 batteries on the GD77, no.OE1MWW wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 11:25 amit looks like, the TYT MD-380 battery eliminator will fit on GD77 ???

Re: Battery eliminator
Hi Walter, KT4LH,
You are right, a MD-380 battery does not hold = work on a GD77!
But some user reported they are using the MD-380 battery eliminator on a GD77
It perfectly slides in, just the bottom plate with the two slots is missing. Not perfect.
So they use a cable tie around the GD77 at the bottom end to hold it - just good enough for a fixed operation on a hot spot.
To my surprise, after extensive Google search, I found a shop in Europe, selling 'real' GD77 battery eliminator.
They have several of them on stock. My link in the FaceBook group was deleted because 'promotion' is not allowed.
"SNR on FaceBook is very low" (Joe Taylor K1JT). A lot of noise and only a few 'real' signals in FaceBook
Not sure if such a link to a shop is allowed in this forum.

Re: Battery eliminator
Huh, that's very interesting.. Cable tie around is kind of ick but if you're using it for a (semi) permanent hotspot or such it would be perfectly fine. I sold my MD380 or I'd give it a try here. I thought I had looked at them and everything looked a bit different but maybe I just looked at the tabs interfacing with the radio and decided it wasn't going to work.OE1MWW wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 8:40 amHi Walter, KT4LH,

I wish I could luck upon a GD77 super cheap to use as a hotspot, can't stand the thought of "wasting" mine on the duty, even though my existing hotspot is pretty terrible and I think actually worse than when I bought it, it's nearly completely deaf. I used to be able to use it for quarter mile/500m and now I can't even use it in the back yard. I hear it fine, it doesn't hear me.

Re: Battery eliminator
I am not sure, if this thingverse is perfect. On some pictures the top 'flap' is missing
and the side rail / border is not straight as shown on their pics.
It needs raised for 2cm on the bottom.
But there is a source in the Czech Republic:
https://www.eshop-yachtmeni.cz/tyt-md-7 ... nator-12v/
Click on the top right corner on 'CZK Čeština' to find in the pulldown menu English. If required, use
Google Chrome to translate.
The MD-760 is the same housing as the GD77. My order was sent immediately via DPD

Re: Battery eliminator
True Wolfgang
There is that cosmetic part missing, but parts fit good to DM1801 and also GD77. if this is problem it can be altered with moderate skills.
Personally i print that batteryeliminator integrated to dashboard attachments and power splitter.
