Radioddity GD77 USB charging lead
Re: Radioddity GD77 USB charging lead
Its the same cable as used by the TYT MD380, UV380, Retevis Rt3 and RT3S
The cable does not contain any electronics. You can make your own, by using and good quality USB phone charging , and soldering it to the jack plug end of the cable

If you already have a 12v source on your desk, it'd probably be better to just modify the charger.

Re: Radioddity GD77 USB charging lead
I think there is some confusion here
The GD77 does not charge via USB.
Some of the original GD77's had a charger with a USB socket and what appears to be a USB cable, but the USB socket was outputting 10V instead of the usual 5V.
This was dangerous as it could destroy any normal USB devices plugged into this PSU.
I housed the USB plug into the socket on this charger to make it impossible to use it for real USB devices.
The real USB cable is the one that plugs in the side of the radio to upload the firmware and codeplug etc. This does not charge the radio
