Codeplug for the RT3S/MD-UV380 for Australia
Codeplug for the RT3S/MD-UV380 for Australia
A full codeplug for the Retevis RT3S and MD-UV380 for Australia. Contains all VK DMR and Brandmeister repeaters, all VK FM repeaters, 3 Hotspot channels (SImplex, Duplex and Brandmeister), UHF CB and VHF Marine. It also include all VKDMR compatible talk groups and a range of useful intenational Brandmeister talk groups. Repeaters and Hotspots are sorted into Zones which includes a 'Local Rptrs' zone where you can add your local repeater channels for easy access.
The codeplug has been created from scratch with all repeaters confirmed from the VKDMR & Brandmeister dashboards and latest Repeater Book database. All repeaters are geocoded with their location allowing the radio to display its distance to the selected repeater (set 'Menu', 'Options', 'Display Options', 'Show Dist:' to 'On').

Brilliant work. I have been doing something similar, but only 60% complete.I will now take advantage of your effort. Greatly appreciated.

Re: Codeplug for the RT3S/MD-UV380 for Australia
I’m looking to get one of these as my first foray into DMR, is this codeplug for the radio with the stock firmware, or does it need OpenGD77 installed first?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Codeplug for the RT3S/MD-UV380 for Australia
might be silly question can install the this code plug into the original firmware ?
Re: Codeplug for the RT3S/MD-UV380 for Australia
No.
The OpenGD77 codeplug format is based on the Radioddity GD-77 codeplug format, and is still probably compatibile with the official Radioddity GD-77 CPS and firmware.
All other supported radios use completely different codeplug formats when running their official firmware.
The offical CPS sometimes have CSV export and import for Channels and other sections, but these also vary from radio to radio, and the OpenGD77 CSV export functionality is unlikely to be directly compatible with the official CPS CSV.
However, you could probably manually cut and paste the columns from the OpenGD77 CPS Channels.csv into the CSV for another radio and eventually transfer all the channel names and frequencies, if you have a lot of time on your hands
