MD-UV390Plus 5W non working radio

Post by F1RMB » Sun Feb 11, 2024 11:06 am

Hi,

If some of you own a MD-UV390Plus 5W non working radio (like backlight problem, etc), please post (or email me) your secure register (could be downloaded from the radio using the CPS Extras->OpenGD77 Support window).

Cheers.

I have a MD-UV390plus 10W would that help?

Backlight is lower than stock but not unreadable, so I wouldn't call it "non working" or not supported, it's very much supported except the not-as-bright screen.

This is a very old thread and should probably have been locked.

10W radios are different to the 5W radio and the dim backlight is a known hardware problem for which there is a hardware fix if you are willing to open the radio and replace some resistors

I'm now locking this thread to save further confusion
