Always MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin , this file is only used for extracting the DMR codec, nothing else.N6SMN wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 5:45 pmFor a MD-UV390, the OpenGD77 firmware installation instructions state one should use donor firmware MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin. Just to clarify... We do not extract the codec.SA0BUX wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 10:03 pmAlways MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin , this file is only used for extracting the DMR codec, nothing else.N6SMN wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 5:45 pmFor a MD-UV390, the OpenGD77 firmware installation instructions state one should use donor firmware MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin. Everything else is made with code made for OpenGD77.
We patch the official firmware and replace the UI and other functionality with OpenGD77 and leave the codec exactly as it is.
We can't extract the codec for legal reasons.
