Change APRS suffix code from 7 to 12 in satellite mode

Post by PU2TSL » Tue Jan 28, 2025 8:05 pm

Why not change APRS suffix code from 7 to 12 in satellite mode?

-7 walkie talkies, HT's or other human portable;
-12 APRStt, DTMF, RFID, devices, one-way trackers, etc.

and I miss an emergency flag for APRS in satellite mode.

SSID's being attached to specific types of usage are LONG gone. We don't do this anymore. The standard that was no longer is. Use whatever SSID you have or want to use. But -7 or -12 is the same, a unique SSID for a device you're using.
