Codeplug compatibility across radio models

This is probably a dumb question but I wanted to ask anyway.

I have a Baofeng DM1701, and I've built a decent codeplug for my area. A friend of mine has an 1801, also running OpenGD77.

Will my codeplug work for him, or are the codeplugs model-specific?

Codeplugs are compatible across all radios running OpenGD77. Be careful about firmware version as they might not 100% compatible.
