Restore Original Firmware on Baofeng DM-1701
A friend isn't happy with the OpenGD77 firmware I installed on his DM-1701 and has asked me to restore the original firmware. The OpenGD77 manual says not to use the "donor" firmware for this purpose. How can I restore the radio to its original firmware?

You need to use Baofangs own 1701 installation tools and 1701 firmware., however I don't know if baofeng released these yet for the 1701 as it's a relatively new radio.

I just acquired a DM-1701 from AliExpress yesterday.
You download the CPS software and FW from Radioddity here:

And Radioddity's link to their Guide to Firmware update is broken and when I get the proper link from their Customer Support I will provide it in this thread:

I probably will never revert, once I upgrade to OpenGD77 later today, but I like to archive the resources for the future.
