GD-77/GD-77S/RD-5R/DM-1801 Test version 2025 03 23

Post by F1RMB » Sun Mar 23, 2025 4:57 pm

This is a test version, that tries to fix the "silent DMR" problem that happens sometimes; e.g when
a QSO talker remains silent (I'm not talking about kerchunkers).

You MUST report to this thread if this fixes or not that specific problem.

This is based on the 2025/03/23 Beta version.

The firmwares are available at: link removed because it does not fix the problem
The voice prompts are available at: https://drive.proton.me/urls/CT7Y3QE8CC#ivbPuzbV8ty1

NOTE: You need to use a CPS version greater or equal the the 2025/03/23. See the CPS section viewforum.php?f=12

For translators, the on-screen texts, voice prompts CSV are located at: https://drive.proton.me/urls/AFEPKF84F4#2ltiJXlnndiy

When I try to download the test version of 2025 03 23, I get this scan error:
"We cannot check this file at present, please proceed with caution.'
I've never had this before, and I'm afraid to proceed.

It's not related to the firmware, but with your antivirus software.
FIY, these zip files (and all the included files) are created under Linux.

Thanks! I ignored the error, downloaded the test firmware 2025 03 23 and installed it on my GD77 using CPS 2025 03-23.
Can you give us a little more detail on the issue we are testing for?

On a duplex channel, some time the radio output clicking sound, garbled sound, or no sound at all. click on PTT or turn to another channel and turn it back solve the problem temporary.

I'm not sure, you can try. As far as I know of, it is a TimeSlot sync problem. If your problem is something else like trunk, then this might not be the fix.
