OpenGD77

Hi All,

I see there are quite a few radios that can be used with OpenGD - which one is the best to start with (most stable, least issues maybe?)

DM-1701 is the most common and cheaper.

If you are on the budget, Baofeng DM-1701 is a good choice.

If you want GPS functionality and can spend a little more, Retevis RT3S with GPS is a great choice.

Please stay away from TYT MD UV 390 Plus or non plus version. There is a mixed up in the manufacturing process, hence there are too many variations of the hardware in the same radio model.

for me the TYT MD-UV390 Plus with GPS is the best radio for OpenGD77 and works fine with it, the only bad things are the price that is more expensive, and that the screen is a bit less bright but is nothing critical you still can see it outside without troubles.
