OpenGD77

I’m using a Baofeng 1701 radio with the OpenGD77 firmware. I've installed CPS version R2025.03.01, and I’ve loaded the satellite Kepler elements from https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/gp ... FORMAT=tle.

Despite this, the Satellite List under the Satellite menu remains empty.

Can someone please advise what I might be doing wrong? I’d really appreciate some expert guidance.

try with a more recent firmware version

keep in mind the sat list should be installed from

open GD77 CPS - extras - open gd77 support - install satellite keps.

On firmware 2024 it works ok (20240908143110 no probs...) - CPS R2025.03.23.01

Firmware upgrade to 20250323054354 done, showing same - Satellite List Empty

also updated satellites keps, nothing changed.

What position have you entered into "Radio Info" ?

Is the time and date settings correct ?

I've entered my local coordinates, and it automatically determined my grid square location. I'm also using UTC time, though there may be a slight inaccuracy of a few minutes. Since my radio doesn't have GPS, I'm not sure if it will work properly.

When you upload the Keps from the CPS, is there an error, or it just displays the list of uploaded satellites.
Have you modified the satellites.txt file, located in the CPS installation directory ?

I tried to mimic the steps on my DM-1701, but the prediction works for me.
I took the coordinates for VU3HMM from qrz.com and have the radio in UTC.
