Hello,
I have been running OpenGD77 on my RT3S and everything was working fine. After downloading updating the call sign data base, I was unable to write to the radio. Only COM3 and COM4 are showing in the popup com port window. STM Device in DFU Mode is showing up in USB Controllers.
The Firmware Loader updated the Official (doner) File and Open Firmware & Update.
So basically I am unable to read and write anything to the radio.
Any help appreciated thanks.

COM Ports Error
Re: COM Ports Error
Don't put the radio into DFU mode except when loading firmware
Re: COM Ports Error
Thanks, but still no luck unfortunately.
When I connect the radio the Device Manager refreshes and shows 'OpenGD77 (COM3)'
But I'm still getting an error message, 'Com port unavailable' when I try to read or write to the radio.

Re: COM Ports Error
Possibly you have GPS logging turned.
Try doing a settings reset.
Re: COM Ports Error
I had no problems when I used another Laptop, I was able to update the firmware and data base.
The same problem popped up on the FB group and the
reply was posted.
I was able to resolve the issue with the following steps: (spoiler alert: It was not discoverable as a Com port device until AFTER it was flashed.)
Full un-install of the OpenGD77 CPS
Regedt32 as admin
Edit: Find: VID_15A2&PID_0073 (Under Devices, HID Devices, Properties, Details, Hardware Ids (and confirmed with a linux machine for the USB connection to the radio)
Delete all the keys with that info in them.
Edit: Find: opengd77
Delete all the keys with that info
reboot the PC
Install the OpenGD77 CPS software, allowing driver as Admin.
Without running the CPS, I re-connected the radio both in normal and DFU modes.
No Change in discovering hardware. (Still HID Device)
Turned off and disconnected radio
Connected cable to radio, Turn on in DFU Mode.
Connect to USB
Opened OpenGD77 CPS as Admin.
Select Extras, Firmware Loader,
Click "Select official firmware (donor) file"
Select the GD-77_V4.3.6.sgl
Click "Select a File & Update"
Select OpenGD770513.zip
It FINALLY was able to find and upload to the radio.
After completion, it rebooted the radio, and now it is found as OpenGD77 (Com3)
