OpenGD77

Hi, After reading all the information on this forum regarding the Ailunce HD1 Radio, along with the "Supported Radios" section as well.
Do I take it that after lots of research was put into these radios, that a working version of Open GD was ever developed to work?

is not supported yet due lack of development tools and diagram info (for v2)

Hi, as I said in my post here, I've read all the previous research information, but because it dates back to 2020 / 23.
I was just curious as to whether anything final had been developed. for the HD1, maybe it never will be.

If someone has one of these radios and is an experienced programmer and has a lot of free time, there may be enough information publically available to port OpenGD77 to this radio, but IIRC the firmware loading protocol is totally different to the currently supported radios, so a new loader application would need to be written in addition to the firmware itself being ported.

AFIK this radio is 50% more expensive than other comparable radios, so it seems unlikely that someone would buy one and then spend months of their life getting OPENGD77 to work on it, when they could buy another radio which is supported by OpenGD77

Yes point taken. I used to own one of these radios several years ago but went back to my trusty GD77.
