Dtmf sound on keyboard

Hi,
If I press PTT and transmit, I don't hear the DTMF tones when I press the numeric keypad (even though the other party receives them).
Is there a way to enable the DTMF tones when I press the various number during transmission?

No, some radio models beep when you press keys but I think there some that doesn't.

What type of radio do you have?

It's a hardware limitation. There is no way to route the DTMF tone generator to the speaker during Tx on some radios
