New GD-77/GD-77S/RD-5R/DM-1801 Beta version 2025 03 23.

  • Reapply CSS RX once the DTMF sequence has ended.
  • Take care of RD5R display buffer height (48 vs 64 on MK22 platforms).
  • Screengrabber Python script takes care of RD5R screen size too.
  • Add GPS support for RD5R platform.
    • NOTE: the RSSI screen doesn't display the sat's number, as there is no room for this on screen.

Hello, I installed this new version on my dm5r and the microphone stopped working, I thought it was a hardware problem, but I went back to the previous firmware and the microphone started working again, I insisted and reinstalled this new version again and the microphone stopped working. I was doing the tests in analog mode, I decided to test it on the dmr and the microphone worked, strangely the microphone stops working when the radio is in analog. I have an rt3s and I didn't have the same problem.

Thanks for the correction, just one more piece of information, I installed the trial version and it has the same problem. Has it been fixed as well?
I have one more question. Is there a tutorial on how to install or use a GPS on the RD5R? I looked here on the forum and couldn't find it. Once again, thank you very much and congratulations on the excellent work you do.

using the original test version of 2025 03 23 I cannot reproduce the analog mic issue on my GD-77, which is probably no surprise since it appears to be only a RD-5R issue. However, I did have an issue while changing zones that resulted in ??? on the display when trying to scroll through the channels.
Pwr off/on and all was back to normal, I cannot recreate it so far. fyi tom in Tucson,AZ awaiting further instructions.

No, I didn't backported to the test version, as I got enough feedback yet to conclude that it doesn't work.

About the GPS, you can follow the GD-77 mod, as it could use the same pin (minus the gps power, as it can't be used, as the flash light LED is using it).
Don't ask about fiting the module/antenna inside, AFAIK that's not possible.

Yes, only the RD5R was impacted.
