Volume indicator.

Post by N4KVE » Thu Apr 03, 2025 7:15 pm

On my Baofeng 1701, with the factory CPS, when I’d turn the volume control, it’d wake up the screen, & show the volume setting. While I don’t really care for the setting, it wakes up the radio so I can see the screen which was asleep. With the GD77 FW, I must turn the ch knob, or push a button to wake up the radio. I’d like to wake up the radio by turning the volume control. I also realize to add some features, some must go away to make room for the new. So is this possible? Thanks for the great effort. It’s like these radios are a surrogate for the FW/CPS. GARY

Thanks. I don’t know how I missed that, but it’s working now. GARY.

You are welcome, Normally I press SK2.

Or you can use menu -> options -> Display options -> min brightness = 5
