I use this image on all of my devices. Made it for radio using IrfanView.

Re: [Bootscreens and Melodies] Post your creations here.
I am not sure if this counts as a direct creation, but I did create a little application in GoLang to generate the proper tone strings for a CW boot tone. I takes in the user input (ASCII Text) of whatever string they would like to convert to CW and outputs they correct format for an OpenGD77 Firmware Boot Melody. It will also let you listen to results if you like, just to make sure it sounds good to your ear.
The source for which can be found in my github at: https://github.com/unklstewy/cw-boot-tone
Complete build instructions are available for Windows (X86_64bit) , MacOS (x86_64bit, MAC Silicon), Linux (X86_64bit, ARM64)
From the README.md file in the repo:
This was actually a bit of practice for another utility which is just about ready to release. That tool will take in a midi file, allow the user to select which instrument track they want to convert and then pick from a list of song segments to convert into a boot melody string output. It works-ish at the moment and takes some fiddeling with the decimation variables to get a clean output. I am working to make that process dynamic based on the SMPTE timecodes in the midi file but not joy yet. I will post back when that utility is available to try as well.

Is this going to be your Talker Alias then?F1RMB wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 3:59 amNo, not pure ascii art, as you can only display 2 lines of 16 characters.DO9RE wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 3:19 amHi.
Don't wonder about the question, I am blind. I would like to know wether its also possible to put ASCII art instead of a picture by chosing a text startup screen?
And if yes, how large is my drawing field in letters, characters times lines? Are there limitations regarding the character pool from which to chose individual sigens?

But, you can make an image with rendered ascii art.
