Re: Misinterpretation of overshoots?

Thanks for the explanation. I tried to restart the radio and the dmrhost daemon. Only if I restart the daemon the wrong data was not used but some (random) DMRid instead. So it seems that indeed the last heard DMRid is somewhere "saved" in dmrhost until the restart. I'll contact the authors of dmrho...

Re: Misinterpretation of overshoots?

The problem is not only the misinterpretation of the signal, but that apparently in the device a memory is not deleted, but keeps the last contact data. These are then used when a signal cannot be decoded correctly.

Re: Misinterpretation of overshoots?

No. We don't use pistar.

We reporting that using a md9600 with opengd77 in hotspot mode low signals are misinterpreted instead of ignoring them.

Misinterpretation of overshoots?

Hello, we are operating DMR simplex entries with MD9600 and OpenGD77 on a Raspi using MMDVMHost (respectively DMRHost) at two locations. A strange phenomenon occurs with light overshoots: According to the logs, the last previously received station is received again using the last used talkgroup for ...

Re: alleged receptions with strange IDs on hotspot mode

Update: The reception from OpenGD77 is apparently way better than from the MMDVM devices. I could partly trace the signals back to sporadic overreaches of other repeaters/hotspots and filter them by changing the color code. I will continue to observe it and will report back if necessary. In this con...

Re: alleged receptions with strange IDs on hotspot mode

Hi, Did you have another DMR transceiver turned ON when doing these tests ? I found that the MD-390 is sending some crazy frames when its GPS is ON, when it receive some transmission from another TRX.. Cheers. --- Daniel I had my handheld on while the "RF user 0 rejected" occurs and heard nothing. ...

alleged receptions with strange IDs on hotspot mode

Hi.. I'm running my OpenGD77 as hotspot (using a X50 antenna) since a few days and found some strange entries in the MMDVM log: 1. receipts of invalid IDs like - 5235051 M: 2020-08-07 04:22:00.702 DMR Slot 2, received RF voice header from 5235051 to TG 9512457 M: 2020-08-07 04:22:01.006 DMR Slot 2, ...

for clarification: My initial question was in the SMS-thread and was used to make a new thread without the context being apparent.

Re: Hotspot does not appear to handle GPS data reception.

I'm almost certain that GPS data has nothing to do with the Talker Alias...
Both is inband data, indeed. (Referring to https://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_ts/10 ... 20301p.pdf 5.4.2 and 5.4.3)

Hotspot does not appear to handle GPS data reception.

Does the same apply to the position data? For example: I use an Anyone mobile radio with GPS. It sends the position data over hotspots or repeaters to the BrandMeister network (262999) where it is forwarded to APRS. Using the GD77 as hotspot the data does not arrive at the network. Is this the same ...
