Re: Contacts vs Talkgroups?
Took me a while to figure out (?) that Contacts and Talkgroups are both kept in "Contacts". Is this because they are in fact identical, with talkgroups being those DMR ID's below 10000 and contacts being those above? Sure would be easier to keep things straight if they were separate, even i...

MD 9600 - Error in User Guide
Hey there ya all; I went to the latest on-line "opengd77 user guide", to wit; The info on Installation v/v MD 9600 talks about holding the Green and Orange buttons to get into "firmware upgrade mode". Here's a direct quote from the user guide: " TYT MD-9600 | Retevis RT-90 Hold the green power butto...

No problem, HAM radios with arc4, aes etc. already exists so your rude answer is pointles anyways This discussion points out why sometimes I do *not* admit to being a ham radio operator. Leave the developers alone if they will not do what you want.....plea...

Re: RD-5R codeplug to OpenRD-5R codeplug; firmware install
SO....for those (still) looking at this thread; here's what to take-away: - Adding your ID to every channel makes for a messy codeplug. - Be sure to double-check which DMR ID you enter in the File Menu -> Settings -> DMR ID and callsign. (The callsign is NOT what is transmitted to the Network; just ...

I have no idea how the Alaska callsign (KL5T) was being imparted previously. Also, previously, using my 2nd DMR HT, when I...

Re: Open MD9600 timeslot problems
If the TS is being "overrode" you can see this by setting "Menu-> Options->Display Options->Info to "BOTH". ( I recommend using the "BOTH" setting ALWAYS.)
