Thank you for both of the links. I think i figured out what i did wrong. I was still setting up channels the default way, causing all kinds of strange things to happen on my radio.

HAM operator from Alabama. Had my GD77 for about 2 years, decided to update to OpenGD77. Still working through the learning curve and figuring out the code plugs.
