Is it possible to make a private call directly from the Radio and not setting it up in the CPS first? I tried to add a contact as private from the radio but it doesn't show in my list. I want to be able to do so on the fly. Thanks in advance.

yes from the firmware updater section.

I'm getting an error that statesGD-77 not connected, however the cps sees the radio and can read from it. this only happens when I try to upgrade the firmware any thought?

What setting do I use to have my radio let me know that I am connected to the DMR channel?
