I have backed up all the firmware
Flash, MCU settings etc, but for the life of me I cannot get the firmware to update, when I attempt this, I simply end back at the GD77 firmware.

Re: Hotspot mode, what is it, do I need to use it.
Have you calibrated the hotspot to exactly match your particular radio? It means nothing if you calibrated the hotspot with another radio. ADF7021-based hotspots have no RX AFC, so even 100-200hz uncompensated offset increases BER significantly, and about 500hz offset makes the hotspot unusable - w...

Re: Hotspot mode, what is it, do I need to use it.
Hotspot mode is when the GD77 is the Hotspot Its not a mode specifically for use with hotspots If your hotspot can't hear your radio its because you probably did not calibrate your hotspot. Hardly any MMDVM_HS type hotspots work straight out of the box. Its outside the scope of this forum, to expla...

Hotspot mode, what is it, do I need to use it.
Hello all. I have a Pofung DM5R, the GD77 firmware has really made this HT user friendly. I have access to a local repeater, however I want to use a pistar hotspot. I have the pistar, it's all setup and working, to a point. The HT hears the pistar on the chosen freq tg colour etc, no problem, howeve...

Master Power level and Master Squelch
Programming channels I get the options to select a Power level and Squelch.
Both have the option of Master, and yet I cannot find where to set the Master level for either.

Re: Timeslot Disabled ?
There is an option to disable timeslot filtering. This only affects receive and allows you to hear any traffic, regardless of which timeslot it is using. You still need to ensure you have selected the correct timeslot if you want to reply. Colin. Colin Many thanks, that certainly helps. This is goi...

Timeslot Disabled ?
The option for Timeslot Disabled is confusing me.
I am fairly new to DMR but do understand the idea of TDMA.
How when and why would I use Timeslot Disabled, if it is necessary setting?
As always help appreciated.

Re: No comm port to select in GD77 CPS
Thanks for all the help, the firmware is loaded and all seems good at the moment. Trying to get my head around programming a code plug. Many differences between the original and the GD77CPS. FYI the problem I was experiencing was all down to timing. Here's what finally got it to work. Put rig into D...

Re: No comm port to select in GD77 CPS
I noticed that when I could not login. I was planning to change it today, as I had realised that everyone else was using callsigns.
