It may be that your two radios are on very slightly different frequencies. Most hotspots are excessively fussy about frequency. Do you have a means of comparing the transmit frequency of the two radios? A radio or SDR with a spectrum display would show the difference. You could then use the OpenGD7...

One problem that may appear is the DFU driver in windows. Maybe you have it already if you have used the original CPS or some other software that uses STM DFU drivers. And if you use Windows 11 the older drivers does not work so good. Also windows may install another STM driver that is incompatible....

Received DM-1701 , but internal microphone is totally silent when TX. Lucky I had monophone that suits and gave positive result audio when TX.
