OpenGD77

So I saw on the ad that it has recording for 8 hours. This would be incredible for Satellite QSOs since holding an HT in one hand and an HT in the other leaves no hands for writing down Callsigns. Any way to put this feature into OPENGD77?

So this might be a laptop specific issue. On my other laptop it worked BUT I hit install keps and it asks me the port number and I choose the correct port. Then it faults out and asks me to click the port number again and works... So one laptop not working at all and the other asking for the port nu...

I did some more reading so it appears APRS only transmits on a channel selected for APRS and no voice on said channel. I was assuming the radio would send the beacon out no matter was frequency you were talking on and that would be a good thing if say you were offroading in a remote place and someth...

I'm new to APRS...Seems to only work when I have my radio on the channel I made for APRS with the APRS Frequency...I thought it would ping the Frequency Channel when on auto without having to be on that channel? Also it seems I can't leave the programming cable plugged in cause as soon as I unplugge...

So I cannot find a way to change the GPS setting from km to Mile and Mile per hour. Am I missing something or can't you add it to the firmware if it's not there please and thanks!

I used the TYT MD-9600 with the OPENGD77 obviously on an ISS Pass with my Sarctrac Rotor and Arrow Antenna and wow did it work well! I was live on YouTube!
