I'm new to APRS...Seems to only work when I have my radio on the channel I made for APRS with the APRS Frequency...I thought it would ping the Frequency Channel when on auto without having to be on that channel? Also it seems I can't leave the programming cable plugged in cause as soon as I unplugge...

So I cannot find a way to change the GPS setting from km to Mile and Mile per hour. Am I missing something or can't you add it to the firmware if it's not there please and thanks!

I used the TYT MD-9600 with the OPENGD77 obviously on an ISS Pass with my Sarctrac Rotor and Arrow Antenna and wow did it work well! I was live on YouTube!

Woo Hoo! I finally got the soldering right...it was so small and I need a magnifying glass if I do anything like this again!

Thanks...I'm thinking my soldering just sucks...I've tweaked it 4 times now and I still have No GPS....

It's the same GPS module linked here and my buddy just used it and it worked...so I'm guessing it's my soldering...ugh!

So I installed my GPS module and turned on the radio and under GPS it still says none...is there something I have to turn on or did I mess up the soldering?

The antenna is the issue. You need to have some Az/El control (hand/motors), and use a directionnal antenna to expect to be heard by a satellite.
