Re: Baofeng DM-1701 Datenkabel

I realise that it might be too obvious, but with my DM-1701 I use the programming cable purchased on AliExpress for US$5.36 and it works flawlessly.
Maybe you tried to use cables for analogue radios, which cannot work with digital radios...

Re: Channel scanning question

In menu item Options > Radio Options > Scan Mode: Hold means the scan resumes automatically after a carrier drops; Pause means the scan only holds on a carrier for the duration specified in Scan Delay and then resumes; Stop means the scan holds on a carrier and will not automatically resume after th...

An issue with the latest firmware release

I flashed the latest release of the OpenGD77 firmware using the latest release of the CPS. Had to redo all the settings, but that was not an issue. Now turning my MD-UV390 on, the display remains black... I casually found that the radio only switchs on normally by pressing the SK1 key and holding it...

Re: Compatibility

For the MD-380 there was a modified firmware, MD380 Tools, and its further modify, MD380 TY Toolz.
Maybe they are still available on some sites.

Re: Priority channels?

This function is not currently supported. [...] For DMR it takes around half a second to fully lock onto a signal, so changing freqs is highly disruptive to listing to a signal [...] So all in all, this would not work very well even if we did implement it, as the hardware is not good enough. Thank ...

Priority channels?

With the TYT MD-UV390 CPS for the stock firmware it is possible to set two priority channels for each scanlist,
but I'm not able to find out how to set at least one channel in a zone as prioritary with the OpenGD77 CPS...

Re: DMR Filters

Yes, thank you, I understand that. What I wanted to mean is to put the HT in a sort of Uniden search mode, yet a bit slower. Now I've been able to get some UHF DMR frequencies found and decoded by the HT. In order to monitor DMR channels I program all their already-found parameters, CC included, of ...

Re: Quansheng UV-K5 w/ an active development scene

The UVMod site

https://whosmatt.github.io/uvmod/

allows to create own customised firmware.

I've tried it and it's very easy to use.
Now I'm using a custom firmware with most of the available mods.

Re: DMR Filters

Thank you, now I've seen it's in the user guide...
I were trying to set the HT in promiscuous mode and
didn't realise immediately that it requires more than one setting in order
to be achieved.
