Re: GD77S TG9 not heard

I noticed you have set a lot of your contacts to have an override to TS1 this includes TG9 All your DMR channels are set to TS1, so there is no need to set any of the TG's to override onto TS1 as the channel is alreadly set to TS1 The TS override is for repeaters or duplex hotspots, which carry diff...

Re: OFF topic... (or not)

Unforunately there is a not enough documentation for the C5000 or C6000. Both chips have a FM mode and the chip may have a way to digitise the audio and feed to the MCU via I2S. I don't think many people would be willing to modify their radio hardware to support other modes like M17. Perhaps if the ...

Re: GD77S TG9 not heard

Wondering if there is something wrong in the codeplug we have been using? I've been doing this to help out a blind ham friend of mine, KA5POW. I've attached it here if you have any suggestions. If worked fine for a while. But after the filter menu dropped out of the firmware, it stopped working and...

Re: OFF topic... (or not)

Interesting what can be built from modules. But it would possibly cheaper and easier just to buy a cheap Baofeng dual band FM transceiver and replace the microcontroller with one that could be easily programmed. The main limitation with the current generation of Chinese VHF / UHF radios is the use o...

Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

About saving firmware files ( using W7) maybe it's clearer like this: 1) Select "Firmware loader" on "Extra" 2) select the type of RTX. 3) Keeping pressed Shift, press Download & Update in the "Firmware Loader" window. 4) Select the version to save 5) Press "Select & continue" 6) Select where to sa...

Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

Ah, you have to hit shift plus spacebar, not shift+enter. Shift+enter doesn't work. Thanks Joe ps are you considering a different licensing model going forward? Or is that it? I hope you will consider a different license, I for one would be happy to sign a non-disclosure or other agreement to use a...

Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

Hi Roger, I cannot figure out how to save a downloaded firmware version using the CPS using a screen reader. When I right or left click on the version in the data grid, nothing happens. I do not get an option to save the sgl file. The only thing I can do is download and update if I have the radio c...
