Re: New GD-77 / GD-77S / RD-5R / DM-1801 Beta

OK. I didn't understand the bug from your description, but I see there is a bug with the radio operating in DMO mode even for RMO channels for the fist transmission on a channel or the first time that the VFO screen is selected When the PTT is first pressed the radio is transmitting in DMO even whe...

Re: Westcom DM880B

There are no board layout / PCB files

Someone posted and old schematic a few weeks ago, but apparantly its an old version of the schematic and the newer radios have some changes to the electronics, hence its unknown how correct any part of the old schematic is

Re: Odd CTSS decode issue

This is usually caused by over deviation on the signal. I've not seen it occur on the input of the MD9600 or GD77 but thats the most probable cause Check the bandwidth setting on that channel i.e 12.5kHz or 25kHz, but if that is correct there is not a lot that can be done because of the limitations ...

Re: Looking for a RD5R

... the only thing I do not like about the RD-5R is the memory. I'm looking into changing the memory chip. FYI The RD5R is not an easy radio to dissassemble and reassemble. Parts of it are glued together, with what appears to be hot glue, and everything is generally very tighly squeezed into the ca...

Re: Wierd problem with dm1701, opengd77 and pi-star

The OpenGD77 firmware operates as a dumb modem.

I think this is a PiStar or network problem.

Re: Westcom DM880B

Hello, I'm looking for help with a Westcom DM-880B which is allegedly a rebranded TYT MD-9600/Retevis RT-90. Need a schematic with a board layout diagram. This is a friend's transceiver that stopped functioning so I'm looking into it for him. The fan runs continuously, when connected to power, yet ...
