Re: 10W UV380/UV390 PLUS - WORK IN PROGRESS

Hi. I tried to calibrate on the native firmware, and nothing worked for me. I set the minimum level of 1W for all frequencies, and the value turned out to be 40-43. I saved it, recorded it in the station, read it from the station - everything is fine. I enter the calibration mode - and at a value o...

Re: Voltage Oddity

No, I was under the impression that the calibration features were not to be used on the 9600. Power and frequency calibration works on all radios. Beware with the MD9600 however that the power vs PA drive characteristic has an inverse kink at high PA drive levels. i.e On UHF you may find the radio ...

Re: Hello from 2M0MQN

Hello, guess I ought to do the introduction thing. I'm from Central Scotland and I've been licensed since 2010, with a lot of my activity being on FM and DMR. I'm currently using a MD390 with md380tools, an RT-82, and an RT-73, both with stock firmware. Waiting for an RT3S to arrive in the mail so ...

Hello from England, on the day that Ofcom varied UK amateur licences to increase power limits and give greater freedoms.

I have been licensed since the mid-1990s, and am looking to buy an RT-3S to run OpenGD77.

Re: Request a copy of RD-5R firmware for hotspot support

Hotspot could be enabled in the RD5R code, but the USB connection would randomly disconnect when you tried to use the radio in hotspot mode You would need to modify the internal electronics to add better RF suppression onto the USB and other internal connections, otherwise it will constantly have pr...
