Re: [User error] Master Power not working in channel

Thank you VK3KYY I appreciate all of your help with this thread. Really enjoying the MD9600. Now to figure out the optimal APRS power setting. When I have it at 40W it screws with my wireless andorid auto dongle lol. So I set it to 25W which is probably fine for the metro areas but out where I live ...

Re: [User error] Master Power not working in channel

No worries, I was just trying to think of how to put aprs on one while I use the other for qso. But I don't think that's possible and it's no problem when I want to do aprs I'll just tune in over there.

Re: [User error] Master Power not working in channel

Its ok I fully understand, as I work in IT all day and I ask people did you read the docs? I promise you I did read them I guess I just didn't understand them well enough. I'm used to understanding that when we say VFO mode it was meant to mean that its in individual frequency specifying mode. But w...

Re: [User error] Master Power not working in channel

I can only see 1 VFO at a time on mine. So I'm thinking I'm missing something somewhere in the radio to enable VFO-B. I've seen the multi watch option in the documents but I'm not seeing that in the radio so I'm thinking that I'm over looking it or something.

Re: [User error] Master Power not working in channel

Thank you V3KYY and all of the devs who build this amazing firmware. Its so nice to be able to update all of my radios with just one CPS. I'm still learning all of the bells and whistles of the OpenGD and I know there are sections that I won't use. I am grateful that you put in the APRS functionalit...

Re: Master Power not working in channel

Well now I feel dumb lol. I read through that section multiple times and I guess I just kept thinking that it was referring to the channel power like in the channel details. Now I realize that it was not referring to that. I apologize for not realizing that sooner.

Re: Master Power not working in channel

Ok so what I'm trying to do is get the radio set to the 40W power level. Right now all of my channels are reporting 1W on the transmit side. I'm just trying to get them all set to abide by the master power level. Which I'm guessing for some reason is currently set to 1W. So I'll have to dig through ...

Re: Master Power not working in channel

I apologize VK3KYY I guess I was looking in the wrong place. The 4100 was what it defaulted to so I've just left it there. I'll dig around in the radio some more and see if I can locate the power level for the radio so that I can get all of the channels bumped up.

[User error] Master Power not working in channel

Hi Everyone, So I just installed my MD9600 in my truck. 1st thing I did was load OpenGD77 onto it. For the most part everything seems to be working except the channels honoring the master power setting. My master power is set to 4100 and it cannot go any higher than that and as I understand from rea...
