Re: RD-5R won't talk to hotspot, what have I done wrong?
It may be that your two radios are on very slightly different frequencies. Most hotspots are excessively fussy about frequency. Do you have a means of comparing the transmit frequency of the two radios? A radio or SDR with a spectrum display would show the difference. You could then use the OpenGD7...

Re: FYI - GPS
Sorry for offtop. 1. Maybe add support gnss in rt3s version «without gps»? 2. If used none Chinese module, for example ublox max-m8q or max-m10s? GPS support is enabled in all STM32 devices. Only the MK22 (GD-77S, DM-1801) has special build for this (as none of them has embedded GPS module, and mem...

Re: Hello from G0IKR
Hey everyone Just wanted to say hello and share my experience with OpenGD77. I bought a DM-1701 to use its satellite features with GD77, and boy, was I blown away! Before diving into GD77, I decided to give the official software a shot. Let me tell you, it was a bumpy ride. Constant crashes, frustr...

Re: New Alpha 2024 04 12
With this version I have problems using dual slot DMR. On an MMDVM duplex DMR hotspot I always activate TS1 even if I select the channel to use TS2. I also have another channel for the same hotspot but with TS1 enabled, that works on TS1. Frequencies for hotspot are 439MHz on RX and 430MHz on TX. T...

Re: Changing zones on the RT3S running Opengd77 firmware
In the Opengd77 instruction manual it says: Changing zones Pressing Function + Up arrow or Function + Down arrow changes to the next or previous zone, respectively. This instruction refers to the Opengd77 radio which has both up and down arrow buttons and left and right arrow buttons. Would someone...

Re: UV-390 Plus GPS 10W Screen Backlight Not Working
I saw the same issue with my 10W Plus model. The screen was brighter when it had the OEM FW than it has now with the OGD77 FW at 100% brightness. So that would indicate it is not a hardwae problem in my case. Are you absolutely sure about that (I mean, if could also depend of the used theme). If yo...

Re: CPS Dosen"t See the DM1701.bin
You don't care about the <ctrl>-t on STM32 platform, as you can't edit the calibration data in the CPS (but directly on the radio instead). The firmware don't change factory calibration data, but use a copy of it, located elsewhere in the flash, all platforms included. In the end, both windows ("Ca...

Re: CPS Dosen"t See the DM1701.bin
And calibrations as well ;-) Do you mean OpenGD77 Calibration data - Or the "Ctrl+T" in Orig FW CPS ?? On my MD-UV380, I made the "Ctrl-T" in orig fw. CPS. And I'm quite sure i made a backup of Cal data in OpenGD77 But not on the 1701 i made the "Orig CTRL+T" .. But not the OpenGD77 ... I didn't se...
