Adding Imperial would introduce more strings in every language, changes to the UI, conversion, etc. Too much space/processing for this.

The APRS Mode (from the Options submenu) has nothing to do with the Satellite's APRS.
Once in Satellite screen, APRS auto beaconing is disabled.
In Satellite screen, when you select the "APRS" mode, it uses APRS frequency from the keps, and you have to press PTT to xmit a beacon.

The firmware is metric, only.
