Re: Audio issue
The headset jack is a known weak point on these radios.
It sounds like the microphone switch in the jack is not working.

Re: Question about screen brightness...
The TYT888.com website is working OK for me.
Having said that, it has never had up to date firmware and CPS available.
Normally it is necessary to contact a customer service rep and they will then send the correct download. They have a Facebook account I think.

Re: MD-9600 Receive Audio, how to improve?
As far as we know all versions and variants of the MD9600 are the same. The volume control is a linear law pot not a log law pot as it should be. The only real fix is to replace the pot with the correct type. The manufacturers don't seem to be willing to do this. Possibly aa a cost saving exercise. ...

Re: CPS error if channel number higher then 1024
It is not 'wrong', it is just not using one of the best features of OpenGD77.

Re: CPS error if channel number higher then 1024
Looking at your codeplug I can see that you have many channels for each DMR repeater. Each one with a different Talkgroup / timeslot. With OpenGD77 that is not necessary. Just define one channel for each repeater and assign a talkgroup list to the channel which contains all of the required talkgroup...

Re: Installed openGD77 CPS... now what???
The CPS does have CSV export and import for exactly the reason you describe. Export your current codeplug to generate sample CSV files. Then edit the files using a spreadsheet program. Then import the modified CSV files back into the CPS. CSV files are very prone to errors. Make sure all columns are...

Re: CPS error if channel number higher then 1024
No, the number of channels is limited to 1024 by the codeplug structure. All supported radio types use the same structure which is based on the original GD77 codeplug.

Re: Installed openGD77 CPS... now what???
You won't see a com port until after the OpenGD77 firmware is loaded. The Firmware load function does not use a com port.

Re: RT3S no COM port
Firmware update doesn't use a com port. It uses the STM DFU driver. Once the OpenGD77 firmware is loaded it will appear as the com port needed for codeplug updating.
