Looking at the first message, the serial port is not working.

Sorry if you already answer this, but did you tried to delete the serial port, within the device manager, then uninstall/reinstall the driver. Even using another USB port ?

Crash or error like accesssing the usb serial port. If the host has à problem like this, VirtualBox can't do it better.
