My RT3S has been on the shelf, in pieces for over 12 months.

So I don't think we are likely to have an RT3S version soon.

The other problem with the speaker connection that colin described is that there can be a click every time the audio amp is turned on and off.

When I'm on digital stations running duplex I can't seem to get the talk permit to fail. I've tried to double on folks who are talking and it always allows me to transmit. Is talk permit respected on OpenGD77? No, the firmware does not respect the admit criteria AFIK the official firmware does not ...

I've add a option which will be in the next alpha version, so that they front panel buttons for Up/Down and the Rotary control have 2 different mappings which can be selected using an option in General Options.

Colin has an idea to set the Tx power to maximum for the first millisecond of each TS pulse, then change back to the actual power level, This may be a partial fix for the problem with the old hardware which has the slow PA response. Actually we may need to do something more complicated like a sawtoo...
