Re: OpenGD77 compatible with FW D026.057?

Thanks for the hint, Colin. As stated above there was/is no plan to roll back on my end, yet I quickly wrote them and received a ZIP with the following files: 28.05.2021 03:58 1.096.192 MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin 28.05.2021 03:58 1.102.336 MD9600-CSV-GPS(2571V5)-P26.45.bin 01.12.2022 05:21 1.114....

Has anyone seen a S026.057 firmware binary for download?
I can only find older versions that I'm unsure would work with V5 hardware.
Rob, did anyone approach you on this? I certainly won't go back to the original FW, just want to know if the FW is available... Thanks.

Cheers

I just received a device with same HW/FW as per initial post (no GPS, TYT CPU) and thought it might be helpful to re-confirm that everything works as expected using latest Beta FW V5 (2023-07-15).

Re: DM-5R: bad audio/motorboating

Indeed, the older threads have a lot of valuable information on this subject. I have a bunch of OpenGD HTs from the various brands/makes including two RD-5R bought in 2020. Depending on settings (i.e. Eco level, display ON/OFF/brightness, DMR mic, PWR etc.) and/or external microphone and/or antenna ...

Re: Out of range CC code indicated

Thanks Colin. You are correct - „2 Lines“ or „Auto“ is/was set on both RD5R and also on most of my other devices. I just compared the GD77 display to the RD5R and the “issue creating contacts” show up nicely with the „line below the line“ on a GD77 – yet that content probably creates the „few pixels...

Re: Out of range CC code indicated

Good Morning Colin, thanks for your feedback! I had noticed the „extra pixels“ quite some time ago but somehow attributed them to the overall beta status and your described difference between the various TRX displays. Your „eagle-eyed review“ on the pixels gave the hint to review my CPS standard pro...

Re: Out of range CC code indicated

Hi Roger, Colin – and everyone else reading here ;) Hope you all had a great Christmas season! Thanks again for all your posts to clarify on potential cause... The above described bug showed up again in recent days… This time I had the camera ready, so I am following up with some muted video footage...

I had a look at the code as well, and I can't see anything obvious which would cause this.
Thanks Roger. I'll keep trying to reproduce - and I won't be unhappy if I fail ;)

Re: New Beta version 2022 11 02

That's very strange behaviour. [...] Colin, thanks for getting back on this. Strange indeed! I am aware on valid 0-15 CC range, that's why I was wondering that "C19" even came up. I didn't have time for further tests since and unfortunately missed to create some footage when this occured. Also assu...

Out of range CC code indicated

"OpenRD5R auto switching to C19 during QSO" I just came across a "new behaviour" on one of my RD5Rs today, running the latest beta (2022-11-02). TRX was standby via one of my dual slot MMDVMs with a few low frequented TGs subscribed on both slots. After a QSO on one of the TGs started the C1 jumped ...
