Very nice, ordered a RT-3S from Retevis, hope that they doesn't changed the hardware.
The OpenGD77 software gives a new dimension to the radios.

Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version
I needed to set the DMR mic gain to -9 dB , otherwise it was terrible overmodulated.
FM seems to sound good with 0 dB but I changed it to -3 dB now for some testing.
I also changed DMR RX AGC to +3 dB
Using a TYT MD-9600 V2.1

Re: New GD77 Beta - August 3 2022
Is an inverted TS1/TS2 symbol an indication on this function or is it something else I have done ? Inverted symbol means TS filter is disabled. This is something different. Press the Orange button, and goto the TS filter setting and enable it. FYI. Bold means TS override is enabled. This is documen...

Re: New GD77 Beta - August 3 2022
If you are on Channel A on TS2, Then press * to change to TS1, Then press * to change back to TS2 The radio is now set to manual override of TS, ( to TS 2) Changing to Channel B , or any other channel, the radio stays on the override TS ( 2 in this case) To clear the manual override of TS so that i...

Re: TYT MD-9600 Hotspot Mode
This sort of problem happens on the GD77 if RF enters the USB cable. Do you have chokes on the cable Nope but I'll try that , I can run it some time on a dummy load too. But it seems that the problem appeared some time after the last transmit, I had it connected to TG91 for several hours earlier wi...

Re: TYT MD-9600 Hotspot Mode
I have started to test the hotspot mode on my MD-9600 and it seems to work but maybe a bit unstable, I can run for several hours with activity on TG91 and other TG's but eventually the daemon die due to lost modem. It could be due to that I run on Windows 10 with a mmdvmhost.exe that I have compiled...

Hello from Stockholm,Sweden
Hello
I'm using a TYT MD-9600 HW 2.1 and now I have changed from the OEM firmware to OpenGD77 as it has much more features than the
stock firmware, especially the possibilities to have separate DMR ID's for some channels.

Re: High BER on Hotspots
I did some tests with the June releases and my md-9600 v2.1 HW. I have both a simplex and a duplex mmdvm Hotspot and my tests towards parrot wasn't stable until I used 1 W or more. Duplex Hotspot, radio didn't signaled channel setup until I used around 1 W, radio displayed timeout. Simplex, you coul...
