Re: Port this firmware to Md380 and others...

FYI I opened my Baofeng DM-1801 this evening to try to find out the connections between the CPU and the LED's and the audio amp etc etc etc One thing which is different between the GD-77 and the Baofeng, is that it does not use the same audio amplifier. It uses a TDA2822 instead of a LM4951 The TD2...

Re: Experimental version to help DMR breakup

I think think the only difference using a longer timeout, is at the end of the transmission , the speaker and the LED do not turn off so quickly. however 13 frames is only 390mS so is not noticeable. Yes, I think the value 13 is more appropriate. The reason is that in hotspot mode the 6 can generat...

Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...

What firmware version are you running ? The Hotspot version only relates to changes specific to the hotspot. Sometimes we make changes to the underlying function, e.g. my experimental posts the last 2 days, and these changes would affect Hotspot mode, but normally the Hotspot version number is not ...

Re: Experimental version to help DMR breakup

This evening I will return home with the second radio, which I have at 6 frames, By the same route. Possibly the difference will be minimal. I can't bring both radios at the time because I only have an outdoor antenna in my car. And the signal is so marginal that with the antenna of the walkie I rec...

Re: Stop transmitting occasionally...

Yesterday I got a "neo nanopi" and I installed the pi-star firmware that is compiled for this board. I replaced an original Rapsberry PI 3B with this board and connected it to a Radioddity in hotspot mode. Once it was completely updated and the settings were adjusted, I let it go for a few hours. I ...

Re: Experimental version to help DMR breakup

After making a route with the reception of several BSs, most of the time with marginal signals, I can say that the 13 frame version works really well. The audio cuts did occur, but the return was smooth. without stridencies. Last week I went the same route and ended up closing the receiver as it was...

Re: Experimental version to help DMR breakup

Just a question...

This mod also affects hotspot mode?

Re: Port this firmware to Md380 and others...

You really are right.
Better work on a current model and with good characteristics.
If it were possible that a high-end model could have a port of the openGD77 would be great.
No need to spend effort on old or poor quality radios

Port this firmware to Md380 and others...

I got a donation. An Md380 vhf, without battery and the internal microphone does not work. But amazon has solved the battery theme, Radioddtity the charger theme and also the external microphone that sent me along with a gd77. Well, I think it carries a relative of the HRC6000, the HRC5000, and poss...
