Re: New GD77 Beta - April 2022 (2022 04 09)

Hi! Roger, just an update on the battery draining problem. As it turns out it only happened on one of my dm1801. The VHF section of the radio stopped working shortly after. When i investigated the problem I found a hole in the VHF PA, So I believe that the final transistor was about to fail , and ca...

Re: New GD77 Beta - April 2022 (2022 04 09)

Hello! I noticed that loading this beta on my DM1801 kills the battery in about 4 hours.
The ECO setting i use is 4. The radio becomes warm just sitting monitoring a DMR channel.
The radio works fine on the latest 02-28-2022 release.

Re: DM-1801 not updating to latest firmware

yes, I had the same problem.
I figured out that you must use the latest CPS for the firmware to load properly.

New OpenGD77 user on DM1801

Hi! My name is Luca , and I live in Colorado, USA. I loaded the OpenGD77 firmware on my DM1801, and it works great. OpenCPS is not all that great ... I wish it would load CSV channel and actually set the bandwidth correctly to 25khz instead of ignoring it ... Also deleting a zone at the top scramble...
