Re: DMR filtering by CC TS and TG
Roger, Leaving monitor mode active on dual timeslot after transmitting could cause a lot of confusion with people potentially swapping time slots without realising. I would have thought that if you press the PTT the timeslot should be locked and Monitor mode should be reset to single timeslot. Prett...

Re: backlight on when the radio receives an empty dmr signal
Hi Roger, Luckily I have a local repeater (not mine) that seems to be sending beacons every 15 seconds at the moment. So testing is easy. Most U.K. Motorola repeaters send beacons every minute. When the network was first set up most people were using Motorola or Hytera radios so roaming was quite he...

Re: backlight on when the radio receives an empty dmr signal
Did some testing of the backlight when receiving repeater beacons. The backlight is actually triggered at the end of the beacon. So what happens is the beacon starts, the green light comes on, the backlight remains off. (that's what I would expect to happen) The beacon ends, the green light goes out...

Re: backlight on when the radio receives an empty dmr signal
Roger, The beacon signal is just a short period of ‘both timeslots idle’ frames. There is no special signalling involved. It is exactly the same as the repeater sends after being woken up. It is used by radios that support roaming to give them something to receive when there is no other traffic. Thi...

Re: Missing Channel Options Menu
Please ignore this post.... I must have had a bad Gihub Fork. Having renewed it things are working again. Strangely some lines of the main menu are starting part way through a string, Looking at the code I can't see how that can happen. The options on the screen are Firmware Info ick test attery ons...

Please ignore this post.... I must have had a bad Gihub Fork. Having renewed it things are working again. Roger, I have just built from your latest Master and my Green key Menu is now totally screwed up! It looks like the text assigned to each line has got corrupted. Each menu entry actually works a...

Re: Does anyone know if DMR data includes the time ?
Hi Roger,
I have never seen anything in the specs regarding time. So I am pretty sure it is not sent anywhere.

Re: Incorrect identification of incoming Private Call
OK I have never noticed that.
It’s just that the original question was talking about the ‘Opening CW ID’ which I read as the power on tone which could sound like TAA to some ears.
