Re: Update 21st Feb
I noticed this problem when I had the original antenna connected to the walkie directly. It has never happened to me with an outdoor antenna. And I also noticed that it is more unstable in UHF than in VHF. It is definitely an RF issue. The programming cables are not shielded. One would have to make ...

Re: Experimental version with option to disable CC filtering
After a day of listening with the CC open I did not hear any difference with the other walkie with CC 1. Of course, I can hear nothing but the local DMO and my hat.

[OFF TOPIC - PiStar] I have detected an error in the software pi-star ver 4
It doesn't directly affect radioddity, but it can give you a headache. I have noticed that the Raspberry for a second, when it receives an RF signal, indicates to the system the data of the last signal received, by RF or also by Net. That is why, if you make a short carrier stroke, the pi-star sends...

Re: Localistion support (foreign languages)
Hi, Please find attached CATALAN.H (Also reviewed by EB3AM) I've added missing line #149: .priority_order = "Prio.", // MaxLen 16 (with ':' + 'Cc/DB/TA') Compared to ITALIAN version, they show the same items in the same position. It must be now possible to merge (or hope so...) Cheers, I'll use the...

Re: Hotspot mode failing after 2/10/2020 updated
It certainly seems like a rf issue to the USB cable I assume you use the walkie series cable, and this cable is not shielded. You should also look at the OTG adapter that is not the culprit. And the antenna. If you are transmitting the antenna to the walkie will not help either. Insert an external a...

Re: Why does not work Digital on Freenet
Wikipedia: Legal Freenet abroad Freenet is a national radio application that is only approved in Germany. Foreign telecommunications administrations grant i. d. Usually no permission for the use of Freenet devices, because the frequencies are often assigned to other radio applications. For radio ope...

Re: Experimental version to help DMR breakup
After making a route with the reception of several BSs, most of the time with marginal signals, I can say that the 13 frame version works really well. The audio cuts did occur, but the return was smooth. without stridencies. Last week I went the same route and ended up closing the receiver as it wa...

Re: Hotspot mode failing after 2/10/2020 updated
Hi Daniel, I have both a PiZeroW and a Pi4B in use with the GD77 hotspot. It fails on both Raspberry Pi models. The Pi4B has both USB 2 (black) and USB 3 (blue) ports available with the fullsize USB connector used on the standard Radioddity cable. I have to use a short adapter cable for the MicroUS...
