Re: New ongoing "Development" version has been created

I love the new monitor feature. Of course it is even better than my implementation which is great.
Thanks Roger!
Your work is much appreciated.

Re: Ability to open the squelch of CTCSS or DCS is enabled??

I have now implemented this in my own local branch on a long press of the orange button in both channel and VFO modes for both FM and DMR modes. It is of course up to Roger if and when he decides to pull it. Currently he has decided not to do it. Anyone is free to try it.

Re: Ability to open the squelch of CTCSS or DCS is enabled??

I just looked at the firmware source and it looks like long hold on orange is used on the gd77s but is free on the GD77. I hope you will still consider it for the gd77 and dm1801/rd5r since the sGD77S is limited anyway.

Voice Prompt follow-on is not honoured when arrowing rapidly through talk groups for DMR channels.

If you are in channel or VFO mode, and your voice prompts are set to 3, arrowing left and right says "contact id1" "contact id2", etc. The word contact is voiced even though you rapidly arrow which makes it slow to find a talk group. It would be good if this was fixed to honour the follow-on setting...

announcement of mode change with sk2+star

Hi roger, Could you please make this symmetrical? If you are sitting at the channel screen and change modes, you hear "Mode FM", but then when you press it again, you hear the channel name or vfo frequency, not DMR. I saw your reasoning as being that you hear the TG, but you don't hear the TG. When ...

Re: Ability to open the squelch of CTCSS or DCS is enabled??

Hi All, I implemented this in my own branch and it is easy to do. As already pointed out, as amateurs, we should check frequency clearance. I suggest putting this on long hold of orange since sk2 needs to be held down for other functions such as changing power or mode. I had it on hash in my own bra...

Re: Looking for feedback re proposed features

Thanks Ian and Roger for your feedback. I'm grateful you got onto 1 and 2 so fast, I had pull requests almost ready but you beat me to it. Also, I now understand a bit more about your standard and naming conventions etc. I guess I hadn't studied it long enough with such limited spare time but I appr...

DIfficulty with MCU XPresso IDE

Hi all, when I originally imported the firmware into the IDE, I used the import from archive option as that was the only option which seemed to work. When I did this, most of the options on the Project menu are grayed out. I can clean/build all, but can't change the configuration to build firmware f...

Hello from new user

Hi All, My name is Joseph, vk7js. I am a totally blind software engineer. I have just successfully modified the firmware to make it easier for a blind person to edit the channel name in the channel details screen. I had a bit of an issue with the IDE andthe firmware not building properly due to havi...
