Greetings from Massachusetts...

Post by n1evh » Wed Jul 10, 2024 10:02 pm

While doing a Google search on FM satellites... I found someone's PowerPoint presentation
that mentioned the openGD77 firmware. Seeing how it would change your transmit/receive
frequencies to compensate for doppler shift... I thought this would be something nice to try.

As I look at the various radios that the openGD77 firmware works with... I'm leaning towards
a TYT MD-UV390 with GPS in it. This won't be my first entry into DMR as I've had an AnyTone
AT-D878 for a few years (had a TYT MD-2017 before that.... too bad I don't still have it as
the openGD77 firmware will work with that radio).

So... going to poke around the site and see what I can learn before buying the UV390.
