My name is Stefan, and i am from South Africa. I am a 31 year old male working in full time research, running a project on snake venom
.I did my HAM Radio exams at the end of 2023, and registered my DMR ID at the end of 2024. I am running a Baofeng DM-1701 with OpenGD77. I mainly started the hobby in order to do it with my brother. He runs the Anytone 878, and has a Anytone base station at home with an antenna mounted on the outside.
I love the hobby and just making new contacts and friends. I also like the challenge of making contact with my brother on longer range, and pushing the limits and experimenting with the equipment.
I am looking forward to exploring the hobby with you guys and girls.
